Retrieve components conveniently and quickly. The SMD Tower from ESSEMTEC delivers up to 546 different SMD reels taking a maximum of five seconds to dispense a reel. Regardless of whether a single reel or multiples are requested, it automatically processes a complete kiting list or even a component assembly programme. The PC controller records every movement and keeps track of all stored reels and component quantities and can be linked to MRP systems. Return-to-storage is just as quick and convenient. Simply place the reel in the terminal and the integrated barcode scanner reads all the relevant information, the reel is replaced in its correct location within seconds.

The software incorporates a comprehensive materials management system giving clear component data regarding the storage location, quantity still remaining, manufacturer, etc. Other convenient functions such as job preparation or automatic minimum inventory control prevent unwanted down time in a manufacturing process. Other functions including traceability, stocktaking and statistical evaluations of stock movements also achieve considerable benefits in process safety and optimisation.
