The Werner Wirth TM 1100 Hot-Melt Tank is a low-pressure, elect

ronically controlled moulding unit. This is designed specifically to work with hot melt Polyamides, which are perfectly suited to overmoulding, encapsulating and protecting delicate components. The Hot-Melt material can be used to seal or protect parts of a PCB or assembly, or to 'pot' components. When used with an economical aluminium mould tool, you can overmould grommets or strain-relief features onto delicate cables, or encapsulate a connector housing. Or you could mould a housing or protective layer over all or part of a small PCB or sensor assembly.

The TM 1100 has a heating chamber, which can be filled with up 6 kg of hot melt material. Once this has melted and reached the required temperature set on the PID electronic control, the internal pump can supply material at 1.5 to 50 bar pressure. The tank has a non-stick coating for easy cleaning. The controller has a timer function, so the material can be ready to use before your production shift starts in the morning. The TM 1100 is an integral part of the larger Werner Wirth moulding machines, and can also be supplied as a standalone unit, for integration into your own moulding machine or production line.
It is available with a precision valve for timed material release, and heated delivery tubes in various lengths.
