The Komax ims 291 Inkjet printer is a fully integrated automatic marker for black ink. Specifically designed for the wire and cable processing industry, it can print text at up to 7 meters per second. It is simple to use and maintain and can accept character information inputs from either Topwin on a fully automatic machine or manually through its own OMI interface. A new control system permits superb marking quality even when large accelerations and pauses are involved in the process. The system is pressurised using a gear pump so there is no need for a compressed air supply. The ims 291 has an automatic start-up and shutdown facility saving excessive cleaning and down time. Ink and solvent use is minimised, as there is a constant monitoring of ink making the ims 291 economical and environmentally friendly to use.
