SC19 Stripper Option

Developed by Mecal as an extra module, which can be bought with, or added to, any Mecal bench press, such as the TT or P107. The SC19 is an in-line stripping unit for use with open-barrel crimps. Method of operation is much the same as the SC11, except the SC19 grippers and blades stay in-line with the applicator anvil, so there is no lateral movement of the wire during the cycle. This gives a quick and accurate method of stripping the inner wires of multicore cables, and ensures accurate placement of the wire end in the crimp. This pneumatically operated stripper has a PLC controller, and integrates with a Mecal press to give a reliable and cost effective Stripper/Crimper solution. The operator simply inserts a wire end into the stripper unit, which triggers a low-force sensor and the cycle then completes automatically.

The configuration of the SC19 means that almost any standard mini-applicator can be used with it. The SC19 will work with side feed or rear feed applicators. The SC19 features a single-step mode for easy set-up, quick adjustment of strip length and wire insertion in the crimp.
