SC12 Stripper Option

Developed by Mecal as a module, which can be bought with, or added to, any Mecal bench press, the SC 12 is a further development of the SC 11. With an extra axis of movement enabling the wire end insertion into a Closed-Barrel crimp, such as a pre-insulated terminals. This gives a quick and accurate method of stripping the inner wires of multicore cables, and ensures accurate placement of the wire end in the crimp. This pneumatically operated stripper has a PLC controller, and integrates with a Mecal press to give a reliable and cost effective Stripper/Crimper solution. The operator simply inserts a wire end into the stripper unit, which triggers a low-force sensor to initiate the automatic cycle.

The configuration of the SC12 means that almost any standard mini-applicator can be used with it. The SC12 will work with side feed or rear feed applicators. The SC12 features a single-step mode for easy set-up, quick adjustment of strip length and wire insertion in the crimp.
