SOLDERING
Micro-flame soldering head

Contax Ltd - UK

The micro-flame soldering head provides precise heat transfer. Contrary to soldering with an iron the heat transfer is not dependent on a physical contact between the source of heat and the work piece. The amount of energy supplied to the point of junction by the flame is constant, thus eliminating the risk of imperfect soldering. The patented pivoted flame concept allows the flame to be manoeuvred with no adverse effect on the immediate vicinity of the junction point. A DC motor drives the wire feed to ensure a precise and consistent solder feed. Fume extraction is located at the point of soldering. The soldering head is tried and tested with lead free solder.
